Okay, the following pictures are from my actual place of employment. We recently had a new safety slogan revealed – Not Today – meaning think about safety one day at a time and don’t have an accident today.
Since I pretty much do all of the translating around here, I translated the slogan into Spanish and explained the need for ONE, upside down explanation point at the beginning of a sentence whenever the sentence ENDS in an exclamation point. I even made a giant poster with this slogan on it to present at the safety meeting. Sounds pretty simple – right? So, this same slogan was also painted on the sides of MANY 55-gallon drums that are used as trash barrels. The following is what was done:
It’s bad enough that it was mangled in Spanish but…English too?
I wonder what the primary language of the employee responsible for this is?
